Why? Quick Shortcut Focus button for task

What is the use of Focus button if it doesn’t automatically place the task on calendar and according to the run time block the space after the task is ended.

If I click on a focus button for a task from unplanned section then I starts the timer and after the task is ended it just move to done section without updating start and end date or blocking the calendar. Weird!!
