Thank you @jchang070731 , Yes it makes perfect sense. This is same regarding notion integration and other subtask related issue.
I will merge this with subtask ticket.

Hi @rao Thanks for the Idea.
We have been thinking a lot about this.
There are many GTD solutions that use markdown to create ‘sub task’ looking feature.
I believe this is hitting 80/20 solution.
But on the other hand, we were also thinking about creating proper subtasks - which can be planned and set duration and time tracked.
We aim for the latter, But what we are having hard time sorting out is…
How should we show a subtask that is planned for future, but mother task is still not planned? (Or maybe planned at different date)
This glitch in the UX is blocking our progress right now.

The thing you’re trying to achieve is hard but it would be fruitful, As a suggestion you can automatically make the mother task schedule for the month scheduled the subtask.
ex. 2 subtask scheduled for 25 Aug and 01 Sept respectively then auto schedule mother task for end sept.
or else you can try things 3 method considering mother task as a project which shows the completion percentage of the subtask.
